GFTU DEVELOPS PARTNERSHIP WITH RUSKIN COLLEGE

A meeting was held on 18 November between GFTU ET and Ruskin to further develop the partnership between the College and the Trust. Taking part in the meeting were Audrey Mullinder (Principal) Chris Wilkes (General Secretary , Ruskin) and Sally Courtney (Finance Director)from the College and Mike Bradley , John Fray (Trustee) and Judith Jackson ( GFTU Head of Educational Services)
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways of building on the current successful partnership agreement which has run for eight years particularly with respect to an ambitious building and accomodation strategy at the Headington site of the College. A major investment by Ruskin will take place at the site in 2010 and the GFTU is keen to discuss how the partnership agreement can be enhanced to provide the best possible facilities for students on GFTU courses.
A full report will be given to the GFTU Strategy Implementation Group which will consider further actions.
