GFTU Executive September Meeting considers Education Programme for 2010

The GFTU Executive met at Headland House, the new base of the GFTU. on September 21. One of the key areas considered was the Education Programme for 2010 which was produced by the Educational Trust. The details were explained by the Head of Educational Services, Judith Jackson, covering both the core GFTU courses, customised provision and Project derived events.
The discussion also covered the developments in relation to various funding streams for unions and disquiet was expressed about the requirements being laid down in certain areas which were actively dissuading specialist unions from taking such funding up.
